Supplemental Fly Control
Chances are, when a customer has to swat a fly away from their food, they won’t be eating at your restaurant again. With Adam’s supplemental fly control, we give you the 5 star service in controlling those flies! We start with inspecting your restaurant for the source of the flies, followed by the best treatments for them. They include:
- Prevention
- Monitoring with ILT traps
- Using baits and/or sprays in the appropriate locations
Prevention
Rarely will house flies breed within food handling establishments unless there are gross sanitary deficiencies. Assuming this type of condition does not exist within your establishment, the flies you see inside must be coming in and out of doors.
Don’t attract flies to the buildings
- Keep dumpsters as far as possible from the building and keep them covered.
- Keep the ground area around the dumpsters clean and free of debris.
- Frequently clean the grounds around delivery doors by washing the surface of the ground (This will remove odors, which attract flies, associated with spillage in this area)
Management
Apply fly baits around the dumpster area to reduce exterior fly populations. The flies consume this bait material and die outside of the building.
Keep as many flies from entering the building as possible (seal them out)
- Make sure all open windows and doors are screened or kept closed when not in use
- Check door-closing devices to make sure that they are operating efficiently.
- Check doors for a tight seal. When closed, cracks around the door should be no more than 1/16th of an inch in size.
- Delivery doors should be kept closed when not in use.
Management
We recommend installing air curtains above delivery doors to help keep out flies.

Similar to restaurants, we know your guests won't return if their room has pests like ants, mice, roaches, or worse, bed bugs. We also know how important it is for you to get that room back in service after a complaint. Adam's not only offers fast response times, but also fast results, including for bed bugs, by offer heat treatments. While initially more expensive, you can typically put the room back in service a lot faster, so if your hotel is fully occupied, you definately want to use heat. Even if you are not fully occupied, heat has its advantages you should consider.
