"PREVENTION PLUS"

A New Concept in Pest Prevention!

Many advancements have been made in product development for the pest control industry. The development of new pest control materials has been made possible because of research by various corporations who have invested million of dollars in the process of developing their new formulations. The public's concern over toxicity issues pertaining to pesticides has driven this research.

Chemical manufacturers were looking for ways to kill insects and reduce toxicity. Toxicity can directly correlate to safety and liability concerns. The development and implementation of these new, more efficient materials allows flexibility and rethinking of the routine pest control service practices.

ADAM'S "Prevention Plus" program incorporates the new technologies into a very effective service with the goal of preventing pest problems, reducing liabilities and being environmentally responsible. This goal is achieved by means of non-chemical control measures, as well as appropriate chemical applications.

A service that is tailored to the needs and conditions of each individual property. Because of the nature of this tailored type of program, specific effective methods are taken to prevent pest problems. Routine, unnecessary generic applications are deleted.

Because a great many species of pests enter structures from exterior, much of the work performed to prevent infestation is performed around the outside of the building. This will minimize the amount of work required within the building, thus minimizing the use of chemicals in occupied apartments while increasing efficiency by addressing the problems at the source.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

I have been told for years that my hallways need to be treated every month to effectively prevent pests. Is this true?

Pests can live in the hallways; however, the obvious preference is for the pests to live inside an apartment unit. Generally, pests coming into the building will enter the apartment units through exterior walls by crawling up the outside of the building or by crawling under the foundation. Rarely will pests enter from the hallways. Hallways, however, should be protected from pests such as silverfish and spiders. New material development has produced materials with much lower toxicity than past products and last longer. When properly applied, two annual applications to the hallway will give sufficient protection for a 12 month period.

I like the monthly service set up each month, and I prefer that schedule. Can I still have someone out each month?

Yes; we will set up a day each month to come out, check in and conduct our preventative services as we see fit. Please understand that we will not be spraying hallways every month, and some months no work will be performed.

How does this service compare to a quarterly service program presently being offered by other pest control firms?

It is very different. First, this service is not a quarterly service. As a client protected under ADAM'S "Prevention Plus" program, your buildings are protected from pest infestations regardless of whether it is necessary for us to provide service once a week, once a month or four times a year to achieve that goal.

OTHER DIFFERENCES:

  1. Seasonal Insect Invasions will be prevented by applying appropriate materials onto the exterior grounds of the buildings, thus reducing insect populations. These timely applications will be made after determining the need/benefit of such applications and will be delivered at no additional charge.
  2. Inspections and Reports will be written annually. These reports will point out areas pests can enter structures, why pests may be attracted to the structure and also give suggestions as to improvements which will help prevent future infestations.
  3. Log Books Kept On Site which contain a history of all pest occurrences, treatments made and suggested recommendations to help prevent problems. These records will be reviewed regularly to decide what procedures should be taken to prevent future problems. The log books will also contain service reports, M.S.D.S. sheets and preparation notices.
  4. Needless, Routine Chemical Applications will not be made. Chemicals will only be applied when needed and in a responsible manner.
  5. Rodent Equipment will be placed strategically within each building and maintained on a set schedule.
  6. Follow-up Treatments and Inspections will be made to insure that pest problems have been corrected. Such follow-up visits will be made as seen fit by our professional technicians. These visits may be made at any time, generally after a pest problem has been identified.

SUMMARY

Because of the uniqueness of each apartment complex, service frequency and service strategies will be different and can change from time to time to insure you the best results achievable.
